Alex specializes in criminal law. In private practice, he has prosecuted and defended extensively in the crown court. He has experience in the disclosure process from both the prosecution and defense points of view. On secondment, he has acteed as a reviewing lawyer for the Crown Prosecution Service. During his practice, he drafted section 8 applications and was responsible for reviewing PII and unused material during live trials.

Outside of the law, Alex is the author of Defending the Guilty and is the co-creator of the BBC2 comedy of the same name. He also writes for Amazon's The Mallorca Files.
